Low Voltage and High Voltage insulation

Balmoral's growing product range includes low voltage as well as some high voltage insulation mats and guards.

Balmoral's core range of live voltage insulation barriers and equipment includes mats, pipe, covers, drapes and blankets. With a specialised and narrow focus, Balmoral continues to produce a high quality customized product for the Australian market. We now stock yellow and black as well as red and black Tiger Tails. The yellow and black is primarily used as a visual warning on power lines approximating construction sites. The red and black can be ordered in either short 1.25m or standard 2.5m lengths. The red and black Tiger Tails as for sale only to Licensed Network Operators and they are used as low voltage barriers when Linesman are working live. This pipe has been rated to AS 4202 the Australian low voltage standard. We also now stock a range of rubber insulation ground mats. These too are rated to both low and high voltage standards. The Australian standard AS-2978 rates the mats for use up to 650 volts where the American standard ASTM D178 Class' 0 to 4 rate the mats for use from 1000 through to 36000 volts maximum use.
