Tiger Tails® or Torapoli Pipe, are a common site on overhead power lines and mains throughout Australasia. They are available in various sizes and now are available in 2 colour versions.

Tiger Tails® are utilised for live line work, as insulating guards or barriers and PPE or personal protection equipment when working on overhead power lines. They are also used in the construction industry, trades and even domestically, to provide a visual warning as well as mechanical protection for the conductors and mains.

The standard size is our regular Tiger Tails® with the following details:

P/No: DB35A

Description: Regular Tiger Tails®, yellow/black stripe, HDPE, 35mm ID, 2.5m lengths, 20 lengths per box, conforms with AS-4202 class I, max use 650 volts.

The striped pattern of our Tiger Tails® is unique to our product and is a proven performer. The striping increases its potential visiblity and hence safety rating and has been demonstrated to far exceed the visual warning system of monotone yellow versions.

Our Tiger Tails® have become an industry standard and is an integral part of power line safety. The reason for this is the quality and the many decades of engineering that has gone into our product. To highlight this point, the bell housing on the ends has been welded twice, both inside and out for extra strength and reliability. Every shipment of Tiger Tails® has been batch tested to an exacting standard, even to the extent of the molecular structure of the pipe being checked under an electron microscope to ensure its quality.

To comply with Work Cover requirements for Tiger Tails® , both ends of the couplings have an elongated hole, for the threading of a cable tie (or similar) to ensure an even more secure connection.
